Pink's book is a useful introduction to the problems of normative/classic Dispensationalism, but it's also outdated. The book persuasively refutes Classic Dispensationalism and Hyper/Ultra Dispensationalism. However, Pink's book doesn't address Progressive Dispensationalism because it didn't exist during the time Pink wrote his book. The new progressive dispensationalism, to its credit, doesn't hold to the sine qua non of normative Dispensationalism, viz. the teaching that the Church and Israel are two distinct groups under two distinct and different Dispensations. So the progressive brand of Dispensationalism is really much closer, in many ways, to classic covenant theology than it is to classic dispensationalism.
But believe it or not, there are still quite a number of classic Dispensationalists out there in the jungle (so to speak) who were never told that the war was over. so the book still may have some use :)
