Gospel - The eternal Son of God became flesh. Jesus, the Messiah, lived a sinless life, fulfilling the law, was crucified, dead and buried, physically resurrected, and was seen by hundreds of witnesses. Apart from this there is no Christianity. It is not primarily a moral philosophy of behavior modification, though this news will certainly affect that... but Its mission centers around the news of a real event which took place and changed the world just as the sunrise changes the sky from darkness to light. Jesus came to bring salvation as a gift for guilty sinners, not as a reward for the righteous, as there are no persons who fit that description. Cast aside all hope in yourself and trust in Christ alone who promises to deliver all believers from the guilt and power of sin.
