Triumph in the Power of God

Triumph in the Power of God

Adapted from “The Power of God” by R. Burnham

How many of us are self-deceived into thinking we are stronger than we actually are? Think about Galatians 6 where speaking of bearing each other’s burdens, Paul wrote, “if anyone thinks himself something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.” That is, we must not say, “I’ve got this” of our own life and burdens. It doesn’t do violence to that text to add another actor (God) to remind ourselves how small we are and that we must rely on God’s power - for ourselves and for each other.

God is sanctifying you, me and us. We are all weak saints who will triumph in glory, but only in and by the power of God!

We WILL stand! (1 Peter 1:5) Thank God!

The songs of Regulative Heart are curated, adapted and produced by Greg Pearson of Tennessee. Greg has served the Lord’s church in various roles over the last 44 years, including Pastor, Minister of Music, Student Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Elder in a Reformed Baptist Church. After suffering a debilitating stroke in December 2021, limiting his ability to continue to serve in those roles, Greg has turned his attention to bringing these important songs, in various musical styles, to as many of God’s people as possible. Now, in partnership with Monergism.com, Greg is in the process of writing a short devotional intro for each song as you will find each week in the Monergism.com blog.
