"And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house." — Isaiah 22:24
And who is this but Jesus, the true Eliakim and Governor of heaven and earth? Jesus explained this Himself when He declared that He possesses the key of David (Revelation 3:7). Has not God the Father literally given all things into His hands? Is there anything that Jehovah has withheld from Him? Has it not pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell?

"Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?" — Jeremiah 8:22
Yes, there is both balm in Gilead and a physician there. The blood and righteousness of Jesus are the truest balm, and Jesus Himself is the Sovereign and Almighty Physician. But if that blood is not applied, if Jesus is not known or sought, how can health be obtained?
September 22—Morning—Romans 3:26
"The justifier of the one who believes in Jesus." — Romans 3:26
And who is this, indeed who can it be, but Jehovah? "It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns?" But, my soul, take note of how each person of the Godhead is revealed in Scripture under this character, as if to convince every poor sinner seeking redemption in Israel, that God can be just and yet the justifier of the one who believes in Jesus.
September 21—Morning—Acts 11:16
"You shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit." — Acts 11:16
The First Consequence
Firstly, from this reconciliation follows peace with all the creatures in the world. Whereas before, not only was God an enemy, but all the creatures were also enemies: the good creatures, the ill creatures, even your companions whom you considered friends; the heavens, the earth, the beasts in the field, the stones in your house—all were your enemies. Not the least creature in the world was exempt from being part of the host of God, ready and poised to avenge God’s quarrel against you.

"Behold the man whose name is the Branch." — Zechariah 6:12
