Content Developer/Editor
The Content Developer assists the General Editor in overseeing the production, correction, editing, proofing, and analyzing of numerous forms of content at Monergism.com. Daily tasks include researching, writing, organizing, curating/aggregating written or multimedia content/inks and editing information for publication on Monergism.com. The Content Developer helps to determine the nature, content, and authors of topics, themes, monthly features, and regular columns; He is to be involved in editing the content of all of the daily updates at Monergism.com. This may also involve communication, recruiting and developing relationships with other writers/pastors/theologians, and then examining and editing blog posts and articles for web suitability, theological clarity, and writing quality. He will be responsible to integrate content the blog or directory's simple interface. This is a creative position which does not require highly technical skills such as script language programming and database programming .. although being thoroughly familiar with search engines and experience using content management systems would be a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Aggregate sound theological content from multiple streams of content on the web;
Curate and Update content on a daily basis, linking to useful online theological sources (articles, MP3s) - Work to discover, evaluate, describe, organize, and link to online resources that can help and edify visitors;
Create content for new theologically nurturing eBooks;
Prepare content features that relate to audience activities, interests, and concerns which may include text, MP3s, video clips etc;
Participate in the regular editing process of Monergism's blog and Theological Directory, including the development of themes; authors, specific article topics, and titles; managing, editing and proofing all online content for biblical, theological, and grammatical accuracy;
Edit Monergism.com material and participate in any necessary processes related to Monergism.com’s published material;
Write, edit, and proofread the content of Monergism.com materials, including blog posts, thematic headers, studies, advertisements, and other resources;
Contribute daily to various social media platforms;
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Have a thorough familiarity with the ministry and content of Monergism.com;
Degree (or working toward a degree) from from a confessionally Reformed seminary (Minimum 3.2 GPA);
Member in good standing of a confessional church;
Able to subscribe to (with minor exceptions if approved) the Westminster Confession and Heidelberg Catechism;
Proven ability to online research and write clearly and persuasively with theological and grammatical accuracy;
Familiar with various social media, Christian and secular journals, columns, and blogs;
It is a plus to have some experience working with content management systems (blog software, database entry) and corresponding HTML, especially with reference to content distribution such as formatting, correcting, and editing blog posts and articles);
Affirm the inerrancy and authority of Scripture;
Broad knowledge of the Bible as well as Reformed theology, apologetics and ecclesiology;
Proven ability to manage multiple creative tasks, assignments, and deadlines.

Website Technician / Production Assistant
The Website Technician assists the General Editor in performing online administrative tasks by organizing, completing, submitting, and maintaining various aspects of the database at Monergism.com. This part-time position requires twenty-five hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Monergism's database archives
Update and maintain Monergism.com indexing and taxonomy for content, including authors, articles, links, genres, series and topics
Tag all online Monergism.com search topics/resources with synonyms.
Fix Broken Links in database
Highlight Editor's Picks
Organize, assemble, and mail contributor letters while keeping accurate records of recipients and mailing statuses
Manage and create eBooks from curated content
Update and maintain Monergism.com subscriber lists, master contributor list, mailing lists, etc.
Assist with Monergism processes, such as getting permissions for posting copyrighted articles, formatting manuscripts for editing, obtaining ISBNs, maintaining various lines of correspondence, etc.
Receive and respond to Monergism.com feedback
Schedule posts on social media platforms
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Accustomed to working with content management systems and HTML, especially with reference to content distribution (e.g., formatting, correcting, and editing database, blog posts and articles)
Strong organizational abilities and proactive attention to detail
A basic grasp of biblical, theological, and ecclesiastical matters for proofing and indexing.
Affirmation of commitment to Reformed theology
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments
Familiarity with online technology and willingness to learn new software as needed
