The CPR Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit which sponsors Monergism.com, the largest free online directory/resource for Christianity from a Reformed perspective.
I concur with Thomas Manton who once said,
"All is God's, and the blessings we enjoy are on loan from Him. He is the great landlord who has leased them to the sons of men. God has given the earth for us to occupy and enjoy, but also gives a particular allotment for each man's portion. These things do not come by chance, by the gift of others, or by our own industry, but by the peculiar designation of God's providence. Whatever avenue they come, by donation, purchase, labour, or by inheritance, they were sent by God. He directed the means to get them to us. The hearts of men are in the hand of God, and it was God that prompted them to be kind to us and become instruments of his providence to nourish us. (Manton, Works 1:149-154)
We thank the LORD that He continues to work in you. And we also thank Him for your continued prayers and financial support for this ministry. As you might imagine, being stewards over the content of Monergism.com is a huge undertaking. But we trust the LORD would preserve and keep us faithful to His purposes so as to encourage, edify and build up the saints, to His glory. Please continue to remember us in your prayers to that end.
It is my obligation to let you know of our current status. This ongoing project (Monergism.com) requires approximately $9,000 per month in contributions from supporters like you to pay for software, equipment, server, office space, content developers, engineers & as well as the funds to pay for phase II of our planned site upgrade. The Lord has been gracious to us by enabling many of you to participate in this ministry when you gave generously at the end of last year and the beginning of this one ... but now our non-profit is very close to depleting those funds, so we would ask if you would ask whether the Lord would have you help cover the costs for the rest of 2010.
Thank the LORD. So far this year, of the $108,000 we need to raise, $35,000 has already come in, which means approximately 33% of the total needed funds for 2010.
Consider the following: with over 200,000 unique visitors a month to our site (and over 500K page views) ... if only a very tiny percentage of you gave a small contribution on a regular basis we would reach our target budget with ease. For example if 360 people (of those 200K) gave $25 a month (or 720 gave $12.50) we would reach our goal and be able to develop and maintain the site and hire all the needed help. Thank you for for your prayerful consideration. Any amount really helps no matter how small it might seem to you. We count of these donations to make Monergism.com possible.
