Martin Luther - attacks the neo-Pelagianism of the scholastics

April 1517, prior to the 95 thesis, Luther began to battle through an academic disputation with 97 thesis. These were called the Disputations Against Scholastic Theology and attacked the neo-Pelagianism of the scholastics and called for a return to an Augustinaian theology of grace. Luther was very disappointed that little came of it.
