Take up and Read

Welcome!

Since 1517, when Johannes Gutenberg's printing invention ran posters for Martin Luther, the Gospel has spread throughout the world on the wings of affordable ink and paper. Nearly 500 years later, the message of the gospel continues to spread from the chugging presses of publishers around the world, giving today's readers affordable access to the writings of the Reformers, Puritans and contemporary authors alike.

At takeupandread.com our goal is to sift through the thousands of good volumes to recommend the very best literature for your time and money. Our goal is to expose you to historically important volumes, old books that are timeless in application, excellent contemporary books hot off the press, multi-volume facsimile reproductions, small single-volume books you can read in one day, and searchable electronic books on CD-ROM. Our frequent reviews are published in the hopes of helping you build a diverse library of Christian volumes with tested theology and reliability.

takeupandread.com is directed by Nathan Pitchford. Nathan is a writer and reader living in SD.
