Russell D. Moore


Russell D. Moore, Dean of the School of Theology and Senior Vice President for Academic Administration at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, serves as executive director of the Henry Institute. Moore has written frequently on issues of theology, culture, and political theory. His 2002 doctoral dissertation, "Kingdom Theology and the American Evangelical Consensus: Emerging Implications for Sociopolitical Engagement" seeks to reapply Henry's agenda to the context of contemporary evangelical thought. His first book, Why I Am a Baptist, was published by Broadman and Holman in 2001. His second book, The Kingdom of Christ: The New Evangelical Perspective, was published in 2004 by Crossway Books. Russell Moore has his own commentary blog at Moore to the Point. He is a senior editor of Touchstone magazine and executive editor of The Southern Baptist Journal of Theology.
