Pope Denounces True Churches

The Pope’s Denunciation of True Churches was carried across the world as a major news item on July 10th and the 11th. For example, the UK Times declared, “If it isn’t Roman Catholic then it’s not a proper Church, Pope tells Christians.” Other headlines were; “Vatican text angers Protestants” and “Pope Benedict XVI Detours Salvation Through Catholic Church.” Because of the consequences of the Pope’s decree and the change of Vatican policy involved, it is necessary to analyze the document and it’s after effects on true believers.
